A second grader from Elizabethtown second grader slept for 11 days

A second grader from Elizabethtown slept for 11 days at the Norton Children’s hospital.  Seven year old fell asleep and could not wake up just 48 hours after a wedding where he was the ring bearer. He was rushed to the hospital and was under observation and it was reported that he slept for 11 straight days. Doctors don’t know what caused it, his mom said "I tried to wake him up and he kept falling back asleep. I kept "Wyatt" "Wyatt" "Wyatt" and then he fell back asleep again”. His doctors ran tests, his MRIs, x-rays and blood work all came back normal.

After 10 days, the doctors gave him a new seizure medication and the next day Wyatt woke up. He will spend 3 weeks in Frazier rehab after he is discharged from Norton Children’s hospital.
