Bob Patterson shared his experience with CNN. He said that after he heard the news of the massacre, he drove to Vegas to look for his wife, only to find out that she died during the shooting in Las Vegas Strip. He went back home and broke the news to their eight-year-old daughter. He said to her eight-year-old daughter " mom is now an angel". Bob tells CNN that it was the hardest thing he has ever done in his life. Amber Patterson the older daughter of the victim described her mum as a great person, she is devastated by the news, she said her mom was everything to her. At home, she had to talk to her younger sister about what happened, she went to her younger sister's room to talk to her, she held her, the younger sister had a picture she drew for her mom to give her when she gets back home. She took the picture and hung it beside a cross in her room, she held the cross and broke down in tears. Amber asked her what she was thinking, she said "Honestly, this can’t be happening, my life is just beginning". This is just heartbreaking; our heart goes out to the Patterson family and every family affected in the massacre.
