HER AMERICAN DREAM; 7 YEAR OLD GIRL'S GOT HER AMERICAN DREAM FULFILLED TODAY DURING THE WORLD SERIES GAME
Hailey a second-grader from Las Vegas born with Poland Syndrome, a rare genetic defect characterized by underdevelopment or absence of the chest muscle on one side of the body, and webbing of the fingers of the hand on the same side. In Hailey's case, this disorder caused her to be missing two fully formed fingers on her right hand. The 7-year-old Las Vegas girl made headlines for wanting to throw a pitch at every MLB ballpark. Today her dream was fulfilled after she was invited to throw the first pitch during Game 4 of the World Series. Hailey Dawson uses a 3-D printed hand.
