Water is very important in
regulating our blood volume. Our blood volume affects blood
pressure, how much
we pee and urine concentration (dilute or concentrated). When we are
dehydrated,
our blood volume decreases causing a low blood pressure. Low blood pressure
causes our heart to start beating very fast. When the hypothalamus, detects low blood volume
or little water in our blood, it signals the release of anti-diuretic
hormone (ADH) which
causes the kidney to remove less water in and to return
blood pressure back to normal.
THE RESULT; We urinate
less and our urine is usually more concentrated and darker in
color.
STAY HYDRATED
