Water is very important in regulating our blood volume. Our blood volume affects blood  pressure, how much we pee and urine concentration (dilute or concentrated).  When we are  dehydrated, our blood volume decreases causing a low blood pressure. Low blood pressure  causes our heart to start beating very fast. When the hypothalamus, detects low blood volume  or little water in our blood, it signals the release of anti-diuretic hormone (ADH) which  causes the kidney to remove less water in and to return blood pressure back to normal. THE RESULT ; We urinate less and our urine is usually more concentrated and darker in  color.  STAY HYDRATED

Immune system consists of network of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to protect our body from infectious organism such as bacteria, virus etc. Our immune system destroys any foreign particles that tries to invade our body by mounting an immune response.  Our immune system is designed to identify self from non-self. Self are molecules such as proteins, that are a part of our body. Non-self refers to particles that are not made by the body. Our body recognizes this substance as potentially harmful. Example of non-self-particles are bacteria, viruses, and parasites. These organisms produce proteins called antigens that allow our body to recognize them as harmful. Suppose you found out that in three works that you could be laid off your job. You begin to worry about the financial impact it will cause you and your family. So many thoughts start coming into your mind, you start to worry that bills might go unpaid, losing your home, or you may not be able to keep up with your lifestyle.  You set off your mind and body into panic mood.  For some when they are under stress, they shutdown communications with family and friends. They stay at home all day, indulging in eating unhealthy food. Hello everyone, I want to share how you can get your phlebotomy license in California without paying high cost tuition that most private school charges. Phlebotomist are health care workers that draw blood in healthcare facility. After collecting the samples, they take them back to the lab to sort them, centrifuge and enters information collected (urine, blood samples etc). School;  Long Beach City College offers phlebotomy courses for free to qualified California residents. This course is offered in the Fall, Spring, and Summer sessions. I took this course in the summer, it was 6 weeks and class was on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday from 9.00 AM-12.10 PM.  The course consists of theory and Lab sectios. For the lab section we used mannequins and practiced on each other. After the course, students are scheduled for a 50 hours internship in the hospital.
